3 reasons Sony could benefit from Project Cafe'

3 reasons Sony could benefit from Project Cafe'Recently there have been many rumors flying around about a new Nintendo console known now as "Project Cafe'", set to release next year. This new console is supposed to have a controller with a built in screen for streaming purposes, meaning you may be able to turn on your system and move about an area without being tied to a certain room or TV. Also although it hasn't been spoken about as of yet this new console may be fit with a Blu-ray drive seeing how it's said to be more powerful than both the ps3 and xbox360 respectfully and since Blu-ray has become cheaper than when the ps3 released I'd make since to update the format as well. Some rumors also state that the current Wiimotes will be compatible with "Project cafe'". If these features prove to be true it could unintentionally benefit Sony for a few reasons.

1. If it supports Blu-ray drive Sony and the other associates that collectively own Blu-ray properties will most likely see a huge boost in Blu-ray stock and revenue being that more home will be fit with the format, which may rocket it to the lead/dominate format once and for all for gaming, movies etc.

2. Sony's PS3 and Nintendo's wii sport physically similar motion controllers (Wii's motion plus and move), meaning both are likely to get stronger third-party support as it will be less of a risk for developers to make those types of motion controlled games being able to release them on two near the same power platforms.

3. With the rumors about Project Cafe' controller and the recent announcement about Sony's new NGP, set to release later this year and early next year, we could possible see both company's utilizing their new handhelds to allow streaming video and sound from the console to the new handhelds systems. The psp has been able to stream videos, music, and ps1 games for years now via remote play(using wifi) so the possiblity of Sony upgrading this feature to allow sreaming of ps2 and maybe 3 games seems likely. Also with the pspgo which has bluetooth abilities you are able to sync a ps3 controller to the psp which is alot more confortable for long gaming periods. The NGP will have 3g and wifi capabilities meaning you'll be able to connect to your ps3 virtually any where in the world.
